I have to show off my Valentines/Anniversary present Brian surprised me with! It's a 1 ct. Journey pendant. There's 7 diamonds--one for each year that we've been married! Of course the picture is awful (guess I'll have to wait a little longer before getting a digital camera now) but it's beautiful. I'm afraid to wear it anywhere, especially around here. What am I getting Brian for Valentines Day? Probably a LITTLE something for Valentines Night to go with my necklace...

Mardi Gras Parade

We got brave and went to 2 parades! It was fascinating to watch people's behavior, and horrifying how much was wasted in both money and resources. It's too bad I'm not a free-er spirit, or it would be a great time. Good for them that they can enjoy themselves, I guess. I was pretty put-off at the beginning of the parade when no one put their hands on their heart or removed their hats when the American flag was marched down the road...and again when the Boy Scouts marched. You'd better believe that Kylie learned the proper etiquette that day! The people could care less about the military personnel marching/riding in the parade, but swarmed the floats cheering and yelling for free plastic crap. God Bless America. There's my rant.
