The Next Day...
I'm afraid this is becoming a trend. I use to keep the screen door open a crack so she could come in and out. Those days are over! I'm really paranoid about her eating the lizard, because it makes her sick and she leaves messes all over the house. She was out there for a good half hour playing with the lizard and she came to the screen door repeatedly, meowing to be let in with her prize.

Kylie Saves the Day
Kylie and Sallie the cat ran outside to play in the sunshine, leaving the front door open. Not more than 60 seconds after going outside, I hear Kylie screaming at the cat and Sallie comes running full speed into the house with a lizard in her mouth, gleeful and ready to play. The cat lets the lizard down and proceeds to bat it and chase it while both Kylie and I are screaming at her to take it outside. Needless to say, she didn't listen. The lizard kept running under the couch and table. Kylie, seeing that her mom was completely useless at this point, decided that it was up to her to get the lizard back outside. Fearlessly she got down under the couch, shoving everything out of the way (including the cat) and grabbed the lizard with two fingers. She ran outside, yelling at the lizard that it should not come inside the house, and returned it to the bushes. Sallie is still looking for her toy, and gave me a few indignant meows. Kylie saved the day and her mom!
