The other day my mom was grocery shopping and heard a mother arguing with her kids. She heard the mom say, "No, I will NOT buy you donuts!" My mom giggled to herself and thought, "But I can buy donuts for my grand kids!" Kylie immediately enjoyed her sprinkled confection, but Jaxson took awhile to warm up to the idea. He does not like his hands to be sticky. Once he figured out that it tasted good, he shoved it in his mouth. 
Brian was able to come home a few days before Christmas. We weren't sure when his flight would come in, so we told Kylie it wouldn't be for another day. His flight came in on time, and he came home and rang the doorbell. When Kylie answered the door, it only took her a second to realize who it was and she jumped into his arms. Jaxson didn't take long to warm up to him either, which surprised me because Brian has been gone since May with just a few days home here and there. He didn't shave the entire time he was in Afghanistan because the bathrooms are so crowded.
