Our Weekend

Kylie became addicted to the Wii game Spyro where she got to play a little dragon that breathes fire, flies, and beats stuff up with its tail. I couldn't believe how into it she got, and how much time she spent learning how to play the game.
We finally had our Stott family Christmas party...in February...at Crystal Hot Springs. The party got snowed out in December. Every year we meet at a different location and bring a themed gift to contribute to the game which involves stealing and trading presents. This year we brought a gift relating to our favorite movie. Mine was by far the best, but no one got it because they haven't seen The Benchwarmers. The gift included Girl Scout Cookies ("You can eat them at my funeral!"), apple juice ("Oh, is that apple juice?" "No...."), and a can of beef stew ("I love beef stew!"). My grandma happened to pick the gift and I got really funny looks as I was laughing hysterically as she opened it. Oh well, it was a good time.
Kylie was sooooo bored and couldn't wait to go swimming.

Jordan with his sisters, the triplets.

Kat with the cutie baby Damion.

Kylie was so excited to hold Damion (4 weeks old). She's as baby hungry as I am!
Sunday my sister Laura came over and gave Kylie a pedicure/manicure.

I'm Baby Hungry

I have to get my baby fixes from other people's babies because I'm too scared to have one of my own again...among many other reasons. Our friends welcomed their first son and baby #4 into their family last week: Bryson Nicholas. He looks just like his daddy! We brought over a spaghetti dinner and spent the evening with them. Kylie and their girls (Kaylie, Jacie, and Kennadie) get along so well and have so much fun together.

Dreaming of Spring

I took this picture up Smithfield Canyon last summer and it has become my inspiration this week. Come on, Spring!

Messing With My Camera Settings

Kylie has really gotten into Legos the past couple of days. She spent hours building a house...which is amazing because she usually won't spend 5 minutes playing by herself. As her parents, we naturally thought that her house was the most incredible thing we'd ever seen. Unfortunately, Brian had a restless night and stepped on it in the dark. I shot out of bed wondering what the crash was. I found him in the family room, kneeling on the floor, trying desperately to put it back together. We were both relieved that Kylie just shrugged it off in the morning and set to work rebuilding it. She loves her daddy more than her creation.

I'm sure Brian will be mortified to see these next pictures. It was just so cute the way that Sallie the cat went searching for an opening in the covers (see said opening next to Brian), squeezed herself in, made a few turns, and snuggled up to a warm body. I watched her out of the corner of my eye because cats don't like to be seen being cats. It hurts their dignity.

As soon as I took these pictures she stalked out of her warm spot and promptly turned her back on me. A definite insult. By the way, isn't my husband HOT?! And I get to crawl in next to him. :-)

Memories

The quality of these pictures is really horrible. I don't have a scanner so I tried to take a picture with my digital camera. The memories are still funny. These are from my high school days. They're just a few that I scrapbooked forever ago. I need to dig through my storage and find the other pictures.Girl's Choice, sophomore year

Senior Prom 2000

Junior Prom 1999. This guy was a lot of fun to date because he was a ballroom dancer.
Girl's Choice dance with Aaron Wright.
Senior TEAM--we planned all the activities senior year.
I think I was only 15 here.
We went through a "sniper" phase and we dressed up in army attire and would sneak around the neighborhood and attack unsuspecting 12 year-olds with our squirt guns and laugh madly. We called this "Defy Winter Day" because we were sick and tired of the everlasting winter. We donned our tank tops and drove around with the windows down blaring music. I think we washed my truck too.
