Busy Month

October was a busy month at our house! Kylie turned 9 years old on October 13. She woke up to find her room all decorated. Her favorite present was a Peewee Pillow Pet from her daddy, who was working in Afghanistan.

I'm so lucky to share my birthday with my Kylie-bug! Brian sent us each a bouquet of fall flowers. Kylie was thrilled to get her own bouquet.

For Kylie's birthday we went to the Sports Academy tumbling gym and the girls had so much fun.

Jaxson's birthday is 3 days after our birthday on October 16. I can't believe he's already 1 year old!

Jaxson REALLY didn't like playing in his cake. He hates to have sticky hands.

Brian was able to come home for a week to say goodbye to his sister Tracie, who passed away the day after he came home. We miss her every day, and our family won't be the same without her. The day that Brian came home, I became very sick with a stomach bug. I'm so glad he was there to take care of me and our kids. Jaxson was scared of him at first, but it wasn't long before he wouldn't leave his daddy's side!

Kylie performed a piano solo at a Halloween recital. She's a very talented pianist.

Knowing that our nice fall days are numbered, we played in the leaves at the park and took some pictures.

We were lucky this year to have good weather for Halloween. We went trick-or-treating with Kylie's friends Jenna and Laura.

When we got home and started checking out Kylie's candy, Jaxson went straight for the sucker.

September

It's been a beautiful start to the fall season. The leaves are changing in the mountains, but it still feels like summer in the valley. We enjoyed the Sky View homecoming parade with our friends. Kylie helped Carson learn the art of catching candy. Kylie is such a good big sister. Jaxson loves to follow her around and watch her every move. They were so cute chilling on the couch together.

I finally finished my fall wreath for my front door. It's not much, but it makes me so happy to look at it!

I put our last name on a pendant banner so our visitors will know they're at the right house. All the doors look the same, and it's easy to get confused.
