The Baby Walker

Jaxson loves to walk! But it's taking a toll on my back, holding onto his little hands as he walks all around. The other night I was telling Brian that we need something like a horse walker that you tie a horse to and they walk around in circles. Soon I was sitting in the recliner, spinning around while Jaxson pushed my outstretched leg, walking to his little heart's content! And thus the Baby Walker was born! Look at those little legs go!

Brian's Pictures

In May went to Les Miserables with my family. It was the first time Brian and Kylie had seen it live. I was about Kylie's age the first time I saw it.
Brian has been gone for 6 weeks training with Evergreen Aviation in Oregon. The company flew him to Norway for 10 days to train in a Puma simulator. He took some great pictures during the few minutes he was able to get out.
Soon after he returned to the States from Norway he learned that he would be flying to South Africa for a week to actually fly the Puma for his checkride. While he was there he visited an outdoor historical farm and a cheetah reserve. He said that South Africa reminded him of South/Central Utah. The cheetah was very laid back and relaxed. Steve is another pilot that went to South Africa. He got in there and gave the cheetah a little pet.Brian got in there and gave the cheetah some pets too. He knows the favorite kitty scratching places!Cheetahs even meow and purr like house cats!
Engrish. Gotta love it.He also got to see lions and a couple lion cubs. There was 2 white lions--male and female. Back in Oregon he flew a bit in a Llama doing external load work to show Evergreen his sweet skills. We have no idea what is next. Brian is home for a week or two. At any time the company can call him and tell him he has a flight the next morning to anywhere in the world. He still has additional training to complete before heading over to Afghanistan. In the meantime, we're hoping to close on our home loan this week and start moving in to our beautiful home!

Videos

When I wash Jaxson's armpits, it makes him giggle!

This little boy thinks he's pretty big, walking all by himself...and the laundry basket.

Jax is big enough to walk with his toy all by himself!

Keeping Baby Happy

As previously mentioned, my 8 month-old refuses to crawl. If he absolutely has to, he will pull himself along with his belly dragging on the ground. He is most happy when he is walking, which requires someone to bend over and hold his hands as he walks around and around the house. I remembered that we had a toy in the closet that might help. I also wrapped a pashmina around him to save my back. He is one happy little boy, and so proud of himself!

Sweet Little Boy

Jaxson is 8 months old and is SO much fun! He is getting so busy and wants to explore everything. He refuses to crawl, putting his head down and crying every time I try to teach him. He wants to skip crawling and go straight to walking. Yesterday I looked over to see him standing up, holding on to his walker. He was quite proud of himself. He's been such a joyful addition to our family. We love you Jaxson!

Beautiful Girl

The weather finally warmed up so we could take Kylie's 8 year-old pictures. Sarah Howard did a fantastic job! Kylie is such a good little model. As soon as the camera pointed at her, she was in picture mode. We didn't have to give her any instructions, she went from pose to pose. She is growing up into such a beautiful girl. She has discovered her talent for playing the piano and she loves animals and art. She is a wonderful big sister. We love her so much!
