Barbie Buddies

Brooke, Michelle, and I grew up together in Smithfield. We played Barbies together, had sleepovers, nearly killed each other as we learned to drive, and now the 3 of us are all pregnant! Tonight at my baby shower we had to get a picture of the 3 of us. What's funny is when we were in high school, we dressed up like pregnant women just for fun. We shoved bicycle helmets under our shirts to simulate a bulging belly. Somewhere, someone has a picture of it. When we find it, we'll be able to put that picture side-by-side with these pictures of our actual pregnant bellies! These babies will be #2 for Michelle, #2 for me, and #5 for Brooke.

The Melon

32 weeks and counting. If I'm correct, that means that I'm in my 8th month now. I have evolved from The Bump to The Melon. The picture below is of me on September 3, 2002 when I was 8 months pregnant with Kylie. This picture was taken October 6, 2002, one week before Kylie was born and I'm looking very ripe and done. I have a feeling that I'm going to be a lot bigger the second time around! Kylie was born on my 21st birthday on October 13, 2002. This little boy is due to arrive around October 31, 2010 and we all think it would be hilarious if he was also born on October 13...though that is a bit early. As my mom said, apparently I'm only fertile in January! haha

Dads Are So Fun!

Brian's family went camping at Willow Flats over Labor Day weekend. Poor Brian had just returned from 2 weeks in Jackson Hole sleeping on an uncomfortable bed, but Kylie was so excited to sleep in a tent. They stayed up there for 2 nights while I slept at home in my comfortable bed, driving up to see them during the day. Being 32 weeks pregnant and not getting a good night's sleep in my own comfortable bed, I didn't feel ambitious enough to sleep on the ground.

Brian and I just picked up Kylie from school and the two of them decided to have a movie/snack afternoon. They are watching Transformers and roasting leftover marshmallows in the living room. Dads are so much fun!
